Job Description
We are looking for a welcoming and client-oriented Cashier to join our team. You will be in charge of accurately processing transactions and provide first-rate customer service as a cashier. Responsibilities
As clients approach the store, provide a friendly greeting and create a cosy atmosphere.
Ring up consumer purchases accurately and quickly using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
Maintain accuracy when handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and make sure the till is in balance at the end of each shift.
Respond to questions from customers about store policies, prices, and products.
If necessary, help customers take their goods to their automobiles by neatly bagging their purchases.
Keep the cashier area, including the area around the cash register, tidy and organized.
Process exchanges and returns in accordance with corporate policies.
Verify that purchases of age-restricted goods, such cigarettes or alcohol, are made in accordance with the law.
Regarding processing of voids, discounts, and coupons, adhere to corporate policies.
flag inconsistencies or product shortages to help maintain accurate inventory records.
Work along with the store management staff to address any concerns or complaints from customers.Keep up with current deals and promotions to notify customers and upsell products as necessary.Follow all guidelines for managing cash drawers and handling cash.Attend training classes to stay up to date on the goods and services offered by the business.Provide outstanding client service while maintaining a cheerful and welcoming attitude.
